Hello OUSD educators,


The Oakland School Volunteers (OSV) Team is excited to support your Special Events this 2024-25 school year. We offer two types of support for school's special events:


1. Volunteer Clearance Support
  • An OSV team member can attend your Special Event and share information about the Volunteer Clearance Process.
  • The OSV team can coordinate a Volunteer Clearance Fair at your site.
2. Community Volunteer Recruitment
  • The OSV team will advertise your Special Event on our website, newsletter, and send email communications to our Community Volunteer pool.
  • *Please note, OSV team is not available to coordinate the event on-site. We will direct volunteers to the educator point of contact for further instructions.
We kindly ask that Volunteer Clearance Support requests are submitted 1-2 weeks in advance, and Recruiting Community Volunteers request are submitted 4-6 weeks in advance.
