The Oakland Public Education Fund leads the development and investment of community resources into Oakland public schools so that all students can learn, grow, and thrive.

Thank you for your interest in volunteering for the 2022-23 school year. In order to be eligible to volunteer in-person at Oakland public schools and/or other volunteer locations as requested, please read and sign this waiver.

As a condition to participating in OUSD as a volunteer, you must be willing and able to confirm each of the following, by signing your initials in all the spaces below and signing the signature page at the end:














I HAVE CAREFULLY READ THIS WAIVER AND RELEASE AGREEMENT, I HAVE BEEN GIVEN THE CHANCE TO ASK QUESTIONS ABOUT IT AND TO CONSULT WITH MY OWN ATTORNEY, AND I FULLY UNDERSTAND AND AGREE TO ALL OF ITS CONTENTS. I HAVE INITIALED MY OWN INITIALS IN EACH OF THE ABOVE SPACES TO CONFIRM MY UNDERSTANDING OF, AND AGREEMENT WITH THE STATEMENTS SET FORTH ABOVE. I AM AWARE THAT THIS IS A RELEASE OF LIABILITY AND A CONTRACT BETWEEN MYSELF AND OAKLAND UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT, THE OAKLAND PUBLIC EDUCATION FUND, AND EACH OF THE RELEASEES, AND SIGN IT OF MY OWN FREE WILL. I AM NOT RELYING ON ANY ORAL OR WRITTEN STATEMENT, HOWSOEVER MADE BY THE RELEASEES, TO INDUCE ME TO PARTICIPATE IN THE OUSD ON ANY BASIS WHATSOEVER.
